Dr. Emechebe is an Associate Professor of Educational Administration and Planning. She started her university teaching career at the Nasarawa State University Keffi, in 2006, after she obtained her PhD from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 2004. She later joined the services of Veritas University Abuja in 2016 in the Department of Educational Foundations.
She served in various capacities in both Universities. At Veritas University, she was appointed the Head of Department of Educational Foundations and later Dean Faculty of Education, a position she held until she voluntarily withdrew her services from Veritas University in May 2021.
Dr Emechebe taught at undergraduate and postgraduate levels of the faculty of Education in both Universities, where she graduated several undergraduate and postgraduate students. Dr. Emechebe successfully supervised and graduated 26 Masters students in Educational Management.
She has served as a Resource person at several educational fora, both locally and internationally. These include the Millennium Ambassadors Summit on Peace and Development in West Africa, held in Ghana, July 2011, Teaching Mastery for West African Teachers, held in Porto-Novo, October 2012 and the Capacity Building Workshops on Retraining of primary and secondary school teachers as well as school principals and school supervisors, in Nasarawa State, between 2009 to 2012.
Dr Stella Nkechi Emechebe has published extensively at both International and National journals and has 50 research articles published in reputable national and international journals.
